Isla Mujeres.- Continuando con la campaña de concientización sobre la lucha contra el cáncer de mama, en el marco del Mes Rosa, la Presidenta Municipal, Atenea Gómez Ricalde, llevó a cabo el tradicional Encendido Rosa 2025 en la Explanada Municipal.
La Presidenta Municipal, acompañada de mujeres sobrevivientes del cáncer de mama y de familias isleñas, encabezó la ceremonia que recordó la importancia de la detección temprana con el mensaje “Tócate, para que no te toque”.
“Hoy, encendimos de rosa nuestro Palacio Municipal y lo hicimos de la mano de mujeres valientes que sobrevivieron al cáncer de mama, porque ellas son un ejemplo de lucha y esperanza. Desde el corazón, quiero decirles que no están solas, que este Gobierno está con ustedes y con cada familia que ha enfrentado esta enfermedad”, destacó la alcaldesa isleña.
Indicó que, con este programa, se busca unir a las familias, fortalecer la cultura de la prevención y abrazar con solidaridad a todas aquellas mujeres que han enfrentado esta enfermedad con valentía.
Como parte de la jornada, se puso en marcha el Camión Rosa recolector de basura, unidad que recorrerá distintos puntos del municipio para llevar el mensaje de la campaña a toda la población. Asimismo, se inauguró el Buzón Rosa, espacio destinado a recaudar donativos que serán destinados a apoyar a mujeres en tratamiento y a fortalecer las acciones de prevención.
El programa contempló además expresiones artísticas y culturales y una pasarela de modas de la Femme Boutique by Firely, reafirmando que la lucha contra el cáncer de mama también es un movimiento social que convoca a todas y todos a participar.
Con el Encendido Rosa 2025, el Gobierno Municipal, reitera su compromiso de construir un municipio solidario, consciente y unido en la prevención del cáncer de mama, acompañando a las mujeres en cada etapa y generando entornos seguros y de esperanza para todas.
