Estados Unidos.- Nelle Diala, una azafata estadounidense, fue despedida recientemente de su trabajo después de que se hiciera viral en redes sociales un video de ella bailando ‘twerking’ en un avión vacío, recoge el diario New York Post.

La ahora exempleada de Alaska Airlines filmó el video a modo de celebración por haber terminado el periodo de prueba en la aerolínea, mientras esperaba a los pilotos durante una escala de dos horas. Inicialmente, tituló el video: «Soy una perra del gueto hasta que me muera. No dejes que el uniforme te engañe».

Sin embargo, su celebración duró poco, pues una vez el video explotó en Internet, la aerolínea decidió despedirla inmediatamente, argumentando que Diala incumplió las directrices de la compañía sobre redes sociales. La joven había estado trabajando para Alaska Airlines durante poco más de seis meses.

Desde que fue despedida, Diala volvió a publicar el video con un nuevo título: «Ya ni siquiera puedes ser tu misma, sin que el mundo sea tan sensible. ¿Qué tiene de malo un poco de ‘twerking’ antes del trabajo? La gente actúa como si nunca lo hubiera hecho».

Asimismo, creó una página en GoFundMe con el objetivo de juntar 12.000 dólares «para llegar a fin de mes, debido a la repentina pérdida de ingresos y hasta que pueda encontrar otro trabajo de azafata». A la fecha, la campaña ha recaudado 2.227 dólares.
