ISLA MUJERES.— Como parte de las acciones que se realizan en el marco de las Fiestas de Fundación de Isla Mujeres, el Gobierno Municipal que encabeza la alcaldesa Atenea Gómez Ricalde, realizó trabajos de pintura, mantenimiento y limpieza, a la Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción y sus alrededores, en la Explanada Municipal.
Los trabajos, que se realizaron a través de la Dirección General de Obras Públicas y Servicios Generales, consistieron en pintura y reparación de la Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepción, además de pintura, mantenimiento y limpieza en la zona del parque y sus alrededores, donde incluso se colocaron nuevos juegos, en beneficio de las familias isleñas y turistas que visitan esta zona que es parte de la identidad de Isla Mujeres.
Estas acciones contribuyen a brindar bienestar a las isleñas e isleños, así como también mejoran la imagen urbana de esta parte del Centro, donde se encuentra también la Explanada Municipal, la cual es visitada todos los días por miles de turistas de todas partes del mundo.
Cabe destacar que en esta zona también está en curso la obra de soterramiento de la red de energía eléctrica, para brindar mayor seguridad a turistas y locales, así como para continuar mejorando la imagen del Centro de este Pueblo Mágico, que se caracteriza por sus bellezas naturales y también por ser muy pintoresco.
Asimismo, el Gobierno Municipal realizó trabajos de mantenimiento en la Explanada Municipal, con la finalidad de que las familias isleñas y turistas que asistan a las Fiestas de Fundación, disfruten de esta celebración en un espacio bonito, limpio y ordenado.
