CHETUMAL.- Un motociclista quedó gravemente herido luego de ser atropellado por una camioneta en la avenida Insurgentes con Constituyentes. El joven quedó atrapado bajo el vehículo y fueron los propios ciudadanos quienes, en una acción desesperada, lograron levantar la unidad con sus manos para rescatarlo.
El accidente ocurrió cuando el conductor de una Ford Ranger azul cruzó el semáforo en rojo e impactó al motociclista, quien no pudo evitar la colisión y terminó debajo del pesado vehículo. Testigos afirmaron que el responsable intentó frenar, pero ya era demasiado tarde.
En cuestión de segundos, al menos diez personas—entre hombres y mujeres—se organizaron para alzar la camioneta y liberar al joven, quien presentaba múltiples lesiones. Paramédicos del Cuerpo de Bomberos llegaron al lugar y, tras estabilizarlo, lo trasladaron de urgencia al Hospital General de Chetumal, donde su estado de salud fue reportado como grave.
Agentes de la Fiscalía General del Estado acudieron para tomar conocimiento del caso y determinar las responsabilidades legales. Hasta el momento, no se ha informado si el conductor de la camioneta fue detenido ni si se encontraba bajo los efectos del alcohol o alguna otra sustancia.
